Born and raised in Ashland, Oregon I spent my childhood playing and helping my parents with our organic garden and orchard. Throughout different points in my life, I have had chronic migraines and headaches, digestion issues, fatigue, and in recent years reactive hypoglycemia and adrenal issues. In researching solutions to my ailments I found nutrition. It seemed that there was a lot of information that was hard to understand or conflicted with other sources. I soon found myself studying nutrition in my free time and what began, as a hobby became a career. I graduated from Bauman College in 2013 with my certification as a Holistic Nutritional Consultant.
When Crystal first brought the idea of starting a blog to me, I had no idea what I was getting into. And I mean that in the best possible way. It turns out that I love to blog! The process of taking the knowledge and experience I have and translating onto the page is deeply gratified and at times challenging. I have grown and evolved both as a writer and a nutritionist because I want to make sure that I am doing my best at any given moment. I strive to create clear, simple, funny, and inspiring blogs that will move people to make changes in their lives.
I live in Sunnyvale, CA with my husband Robert and our two mini-schnauzers Miles and Ella. When away from the computer I like to cook, read, watch movies or TV, and always striving to create a life that I am proud of and love. My lifetime commitment is that all Americans have access to nutrition and wellness regardless of their circumstances.
